The Center for Classic Beauty
Anna Petropoulos, MD, FRCS

Sagging skin, softening jawlines, fine lines, and rough texture all trace back to one thing: collagen loss. Radiofrequency microneedling rebuilds it from within. At the Center for Classic Beauty, Dr. Anna Petropoulos offers four distinct RF technologies — Morpheus8, Sylfirm X, Scarlet, and Agnes — and matches the right one to your skin, your concern, and your goals. This is physician-led skin tightening, not a one-device-fits-all treatment.

Four Technologies,
Not One-Size-Fits-All

Most practices own a single RF device and treat every patient with it. We carry four — Morpheus8, Sylfirm X, Scarlet, and Agnes — because deep laxity, fine crepey texture, redness, and under-eye concerns each respond best to different technology. You get the right tool, not the only tool.

Planned by a Surgeon,
Not a Sales Script

Dr. Petropoulos is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon. She evaluates your skin the way a surgeon does — depth of laxity, skin quality, facial structure — and tells you honestly what RF microneedling can achieve and when another approach would serve you better.

Your Own Collagen,
Working for Months

RF microneedling doesn't add anything artificial. Controlled micro-injuries plus radiofrequency heat trigger your skin to produce new collagen and elastin, with results that continue building for three to six months after your final session — and looking entirely like you.

Is This You?

Skin that's changed.
A face that's still yours.

Radiofrequency microneedling addresses the concerns patients tell us about most — the ones that creams can't fix and surgery feels like too much for.

What RF microneedling treats

  • Sagging, loose skin along the jawline, jowls, and neck
  • Fine lines and crepey texture around the eyes and mouth
  • Acne scarring and uneven skin texture
  • Enlarged pores and rough skin quality
  • Early skin laxity — before it becomes a surgical concern

Safe for nearly all skin types and tones. Treatments are performed with topical numbing for your comfort.

Every plan begins with a
physician skin assessment

Four Technologies. One Right Answer.

Matched to your skin.
Not the other way around.

Each platform excels at something different. After your assessment, Dr. Petropoulos recommends the technology — or combination — that fits your concern, your skin tone, and your downtime tolerance.

01 Deep Contouring

Morpheus8

The deepest-reaching option, with microneedles delivering RF energy up to 4mm below the surface. The go-to for jawline definition, jowls, neck laxity, and remodeling the deeper layers where sagging actually starts. Also effective on acne scarring.

Best for: sagging skin, jawline & neck, acne scars
02 All Skin Tones

Sylfirm X

Uses pulse wave technology, which allows it to treat even the most sensitive skin types and skin colors. It addresses laxity, texture, and pigment concerns — including melasma and redness — with remarkable safety across the full range of skin tones. Minimal downtime makes it a favorite for patients on a schedule.

Best for: sensitive skin, tone & texture, redness, minimal downtime
03 Total Rejuvenation

Scarlet

Short-pulse RF that tightens and firms with even coverage across the face, neck, and body. Known for comfortable treatments, quick recovery, and a noticeable glow-and-firm effect that builds over a series of sessions.

Best for: overall firming, skin rejuvenation, face & neck
04 Precision Work

Agnes

The specialist. Insulated microneedles target small, stubborn areas with surgical precision — under-eye bags, upper and lower eyelid laxity, jowls, and small pockets of fat under the chin — without affecting surrounding tissue.

Best for: under-eyes, eyelids, jowls, double chin

Getting Started

Three steps.
No pressure. No obligation.

Your first visit is a conversation and a skin assessment, not a commitment. Here's what to expect.

01

Schedule a Consultation

Call us or request a consultation online. At our Boston or Danvers office, we'll listen to what's bothering you — whether that's a softening jawline, texture, scarring, or skin that just doesn't sit the way it used to.

02

Get a Physician Assessment

Dr. Petropoulos evaluates your skin quality, degree of laxity, and facial structure, then recommends the technology and number of sessions that will actually move the needle — and tells you honestly if something else would serve you better.

03

Your Treatment Series Begins

Most plans involve two to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. Treatments take 30–60 minutes, with additional time for topical numbing. You'll see early improvement within weeks, with collagen continuing to build for three to six months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers before you even ask.

What is RF microneedling, exactly?
Radiofrequency microneedling combines two proven collagen triggers: ultra-fine needles create controlled micro-channels in the skin, while radiofrequency energy delivers heat to the deeper layers. Together they signal your body to produce new collagen and elastin — firming, tightening, and smoothing the skin from within over the following months.
Which technology is right for me — Morpheus8, Sylfirm X, Scarlet, or Agnes?
That's exactly what your assessment determines, and it's why we carry all four. As a general guide: Morpheus8 reaches deepest for jawline and neck laxity, Sylfirm X uses pulse wave technology to treat even the most sensitive skin types and colors with minimal downtime, Scarlet delivers comfortable all-over firming, and Agnes does precision work around the eyes, jowls, and under the chin. Many plans combine technologies.
Does it hurt? What's the downtime?
Topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, and Pro-Nox™ (patient-controlled nitrous oxide) is available for added comfort – it works quickly, wears off within minutes, and still allows you to drive yourself home. Most patients describe the treatment as warm, with a mild prickling or pressure sensation. Downtime varies by treatment, but most return to normal activities within 1–2 days. Redness similar to a mild sunburn is common for 24–48 hours, and makeup can usually be worn after 24–48 hours.
How many sessions will I need, and when will I see results?
Most patients benefit from 2–4 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart, depending on their skin concerns and the technology used. Many patients notice an early healthy glow and improvements in skin tone and texture within a few weeks. As new collagen develops over the following 3–6 months, skin becomes firmer, smoother, and more refined.
Is this a replacement for a facelift?
Honest answer: it depends on your degree of laxity. RF microneedling is excellent for mild to moderate skin laxity and for patients who want meaningful improvement without surgery. For advanced sagging, surgery remains the gold standard — and as a facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Petropoulos will tell you plainly which category you're in. Many patients use RF microneedling to delay surgery for years; others use it to maintain surgical results.
Is RF microneedling safe for darker skin tones?
Yes — this is one of RF microneedling's biggest advantages over many laser treatments. Because the energy is delivered below the surface rather than absorbed by pigment, it's safe for nearly all skin types and tones. Sylfirm X in particular is renowned for its safety profile across the full spectrum of skin tones.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the technology, the treatment area, and the number of sessions in your plan, so we quote it after your assessment rather than guessing. Treatment packages and financing options are available, and we'll walk you through everything transparently at your consultation before you commit to anything.
Who performs the treatment?
Your plan is designed by Dr. Anna Petropoulos, a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon with over 25 years of experience, and treatments are performed by her trained clinical team under her supervision. You're in the hands of people who understand facial anatomy at a surgical level.
