EmSella®

Do you leak when you cough, sneeze, or engage in sports activities? Do you feel the sudden urge to go the bathroom often? Have you refrained from intimate life in the last months out of fear of insecurity? If you answered yes, you could be suffering from urinary incontinence. There are three different types of urinary incontinence: stress, urge, and mixed incontinence. Stress incontinence occurs when there is exerted pressure on the bladder causing leakage such as coughing, laughing, sneezing, or exercising. Often, stress incontinence can occur after childbirth. Urge incontinence is the sudden and intense urge to urinate frequently. Mixed incontinence is a combination of both stress and urge incontinence.
Dr. Petropoulos and the Center for Classic Beauty now offers EmSella® as a non-invasive option for strengthening and restoring the pelvic floor muscles to improve incontinence and sexual wellness. This innovative treatment uses electromagnetic energy to cause deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation without downtime!

BENEFITS

Non-Invasive Pelvic Floor Strengthening

EmSella® provides a non-invasive method to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, effectively addressing issues like urinary incontinence without the need for surgery or invasive procedures.

Comfortable & Convenient

The treatment is comfortable and can be done fully clothed, making it a convenient option for individuals seeking an easy, hassle-free solution.

Quick & Effective Sessions

EmSella® sessions are relatively quick, typically lasting about 30 minutes, and patients often notice improvements after just a few sessions, making it an efficient choice for pelvic floor rehabilitation.

EmSella® Procedure

After a consultation with Dr. Petropoulos and our staff, you will be escorted to our treatment room to begin your first session. EmSella® is a pain free treatment, so there is no need for any local anesthetics or other pain relievers. Next, you will remove your shoes and jewelry, remain clothed (comfortable legging type clothing preferred) and have a seat in the EmSella® treatment chair. Once in the correct positioning, your treatment will begin. EmSella® uses electromagnetic energy to cause deep pelvic floor muscle stimulation by doing 11,000 kegels for you in 30 minutes. During treatment you will feel slight tingling and vibrations in your pelvic floor muscles that eventually turn into full contractions. This is a comfortable treatment, and you should experience no pain and no downtime. During your EmSella® treatment you could read or just relax and be able to go back to regular daily activities immediately!
